Attendance
The Archbishop's School recognises the importance of our students being prepared for life beyond school and that good attendance and punctuality is necessary for them to achieve their academic potential.
The Archbishop’s School is committed to the continuous raising of achievement of all of our students. Regular attendance is critical if our students are to be successful and benefit from the opportunities presented to them.
The Archbishop’s School expects 100% attendance from all students. The school does understand that some absences cannot be avoided but we will seek consistent parental engagement to ensure that we understand why absences occur.
Is your child too poorly for school?
It can be tricky deciding whether or not to keep your child off school when they are unwell and we want to help.
The following link to NHS guidance will help you decide what you should do: www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/
If you do keep your child at home, it's important to let us know by 8:40am, by calling the attendance team on 01227 765805 (option 1) asap or via email - attendance@archbishops.kent.sch.uk.
If your child is well enough to attend school but has an infection that could be passed on, such as a cold sore or head lice, please also let us know.
